Green Light Laser

Answer: It's a prostate surgery, CPT 52612 (transurethral fulguration of prostate; first stage of two-stage resection) definitely, and the addition of 52614 (transurethral fulguration of prostate; second stage of two-stage resection) if the second stage is performed. Both are APC 163, and both reimburse at a rate of $2,297.91 by Medicare. However, you're not going to be charging out at the Medicare rate to begin with. You always first make sure to cover your costs, which means if your costs are more than what Medicare would pay, you start there, then decide how to mark it up, based your hospital's policies.
